That’s how Bulls recalled last week’s horror on Dalaal Street where Bulls were mercilessly butchered in broad day light by the relentless selling pressure by FII’s where Net longs remained under pressure at 10% while Net shorts rise back as long as 2.82 lacs contracts & no sign of short covering was seen despite the saturation level of shorts were reached. Nifty retested the low’s of 23233.50 to give s decisive close at 23398.10 while in Bank Nifty low’s of 55707.05 were tested but a decisive close of 56605.55 was achieved both the indices closed with loss of 2.09% & 1.33% respectively.
Meanwhile “Nifty IT” shown a massive downfall of 5.78% while India Vix saw a surge of 15.07% for the week. FII’s continue to remain on the sell side Rs. 1795.19 cr. consecutive while broader market remained under pressure until Friday where some pull back was witnessed from lower levels.
FII’s have been very volatile since last 2 years where major selling has been done by them. FII’s Remained Covering Shorts: FII’s net longs & shorts now have once again shown drastic changes where net longs stand near to 10% while net shorts now remain at 2.82 lacs contacts. We expect a saturation in this data & a trend reversal in the Index from Net longs of 7-8% & Net shorts from 2.50-2.82 lacs contracts in the coming week itself.
Nifty on weekly charts formed Bearish candle on Weekly charts but a close within the crucial support was seen at 23398.10. FII’s net longs now remains near to 10% while Net shorts now remain at 2.82 lacs which usual shows a possible short covering in the coming weeks ahead. We now expect a possible short covering towards 24200-24300 kind of levels while any move above these could trigger an immediate potential upside towards 25200 kind of levels in September series or ahead this with crucial supports now lying within the bigger range of 22800-23200. This time major movement could get triggered by Banking & Financials Sector followed by IT & Consumer Durables goods sector.
However, Bank Nifty may show us an immediate crucial support of 55000-55700 kind of levels while immediate potential upside remains at 58000-58700 & any close above this could trigger a move towards 60000-61000 kind of levels in September series itself. The support may come from large-cap Private Sector banks.
“Nifty IT” sector has shown immense response by FII’s with consistent buying in last 45 days we expect an immediate target of 32000-33000 while crucial support still remains at 28000-29000 this time.
